On March 3, 2020, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) launched a public consultation on the 23rd update of the REACH Candidate List. The public consultation will end on April 17, 2020.

Five (5) substances were proposed. If all proposed substances are identified as highly concerned substances (SVHC), the total number of SVHC listed in the candidate list will increase from 205 in June 2020 or July 2020 to 210.

Table A lists the substance name, identification number (CAS and EC), the proposed reason and its potential application.

If the above proposed substances are added to the SVHC list through public consultation, the SVHC list will be expanded to 210 items, and the current SVHC list is officially 205.
